ingl\u00e9s est\u00e1 considerado como el sabueso m\u00e1s famoso de Inglaterra. El nombre de la raza est\u00e1 directamente relacionado con la traducci\u00f3n literal, que significa \u00abcazador de zorros\u00bb. De ah\u00ed que exista un segundo nombre para el perro: el foxhound ingl\u00e9s. En la formaci\u00f3n de la raza participaron sabuesos celtas, galgos, terriers e incluso bulldogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Todav\u00eda no se sabe exactamente qui\u00e9n trajo la raza al continente americano. Hay varias versiones: en 1650, los perros fueron entregados por el criador y perrero Robert Brooke. Y si se creen otras fuentes, el sabueso ingl\u00e9s apareci\u00f3 en Am\u00e9rica en 1738 y fue llevado all\u00ed por Lord Fairfax.
