History of Origin
In the 19th century, the most popular activity was hunting, and many noblemen were fond of it. Therefore, the emergence of the French White and Black Hound is not surprising; the breed has adapted beautifully for this activity. The hound originated from Gascony and Saintonge’s provinces by crossing the Saintonge and the blue Gascon with the Foxhounds. Fans may say that the breed looks like most dog members, but the expressive features and color immediately show its individuality. Many hunters claim that white and black hounds have a special flair and great interest in hunting small games.
Appearance: height, weight, fur, color
